Work Visa

Australia is a great place to live and work, offering lifestyle and employment opportunities. To work, you must have a valid Australia visa with work rights. Trinity Migration Solutions can assist you to apply for a range of temporary and permanent skilled visas suitable for you.

Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186)

The Subclass 186 Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) is a permanent residence visa for skilled workers who want to work in Australia. It allows an employer in Australia to sponsor a skilled worker for a permanent visa if the worker is nominated for a skilled position that cannot be filled by an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
To apply for the Subclass 186 ENS, you must:
  1. Be nominated by an approved Australian employer for a skilled position. Your employer will need to complete a nomination application and provide evidence that they have been unable to find an appropriately skilled Australian citizen or permanent resident to fill the position.
  2. Meet the age, skill, and English language requirements for the position.
  3. Be able to demonstrate that you have the skills and qualifications necessary for the nominated position.
  4. Meet health and character requirements.
  5. Meet the requirements for the visa subclass that you are applying for. There are three subclass options under the Subclass 186 ENS:
  • Subclass 186 (Temporary Residence Transition) visa: This option is for workers who have been working in the nominated position for at least the last two years on a temporary visa, such as a Subclass 457 or 482 visa.
  • Subclass 186 (Direct Entry) visa: This option is for workers who are not currently working in the nominated position, but who have the skills and qualifications required for the position.
  • Subclass 186 (Agreement) visa: This option is for workers who have a formal agreement with their employer, such as a collective agreement or individual flexibility arrangement.
It is important to note that the Subclass 186 ENS is a competitive program and not all applications will be successful. The Department of Home Affairs sets annual quotas for the number of visas that can be granted under the Subclass 186 ENS, and demand for the program can be high.
